embroidered throughout me
stitches of you
sewn directly onto my heart..
heaven and hell
I know it well..
distant- present 
friend or foe 
how to know..
miles weaving us apart 
fabric wearing thin…
your presence lingered from the start 
catching my breath 
time and time again..
running out of ways to miss you 
absorbing the empty space..
like a lover it washes over me
sometimes healing
sometimes killing 
from the inside out.. 
quite the privilege to grieve 
such love that received me fully 
leaving patterns of us splayed out cruelly 
ripping me 
shredding me ever so fine..
Slowly 
stitching us back together 
displaying moments of a place and time that made you mine..

Fading into your eyes 
I am silence 
a quiet explosion taking place 
reverberating through space 
the golden echoes of yesterday.. 
shadows on walls 
catching my falls 
giving in to the eternity of we
our love is as big as the sea 
endless, timeless 
ever changing with the seasons..
flowing freely
giving reason to just be..

we are a slow dance
a slow burn
subtext lit up within us
all we know
all we own 
creating a tone that moves us..
hearts may groan
time may own
the very moments
we so desire to rule..
draw from me my last breath
as I inhale you in
filling me anew..
invading me
creating me
taking all that I am..
it isn’t happenstance
that makes you mine 
it’s the rhythm intertwined 
an unspoken line in time..
from sleep I’ve woken 
may I give you
the token of my hand..

reflective 
quiet 
peaceful 
somber..
moods within your words..
you sit in a smile 
drawing me in from miles
you light me up 
losing my way into you
my dreams sleep now
As I weep in your hands..
a slow drip into my soul 
a gentleness takes over 
most beautiful love
with power under control..

the in between..

strange duet
sweeter still
sing with me
play with me
let my tune wrap your heart.. 
hear my voice as I call your name 
the in between holds the beauty 
we seek to gain.. 
feel the angel wings holding us tightly, gently - with tender care
intimacy overpowering the fear 
and we dare to sing loudly
like never before..

Absorbed..

invisible wounds 
Scars that dig in deep 
I carry them within 
a battle that never ends..
hopeful yet struggling 
Hold me tight 
I won’t give in to the fright..
immersed in the beauty
that keeps
giving 
reaching out 
calling me 
Drawing me 
To a new light 
an atmosphere so bright 
I’m no longer buried alive..

state of mind..

flushed cheeks 
tears staining her soft skin
eyes bright with anticipation 
so many changes making her weak.. 
yet deep within she grows
with each new wound 
flesh is sown
with each word 
you resonate within her mind..
give her your coldest shoulder to cry upon 
it’s where she longs to be..
destinies shaped and forming 
she has no more of a choice
in following this path
as it goes from here to there 
than a swirl of ashes floating aimlessly without a care to its’ end..
She eats and waits to be eaten..

days of old 
depicting moments filled with hope..
memories golden 
hearts of steel 
sweet dreams 
somehow torn apart at the seams..
sweet and heady 
made me feel unsteady
It’s okay you know
to rid your mind of all of me..
but keep the photos 
it’s all that’s left 
One day
time will be fine
it won’t claw at your heart..
I’ll never be gone 
the footnote of us lives on..
surrender to new starts 
let the clouds part..
